Comprehensive Tree Surgery Services
When a tree is overgrown, it can pose a significant threat to the public and buildings alike. In some of the most dramatic cases, roots can grow through structures and cause lasting damage to their structural integrity. In these cases, you’ll need to contact a tree surgeon in West Lothian. Diseased or dead trees can be a danger to the public when overhanging limbs droop over roads. In some cases, these limbs can break off from the tree completely! By contacting a tree surgery company, you can prevent any accidents occurring as a result.
If you’ve received complaints from a neighbour about your overhanging tree, or you need a tree cut back to protect the public, contact Ace Tree Surgeons today. We provide a tree trimming service and tree pruning in West Lothian. For information about tree surgeon costs, contact us today.
Our Tree Surgery Can Resolve Your Deep-Rooted Tree Problem
For such seemingly immovable structures, trees can be remarkably destructive - their roots alone have the ability to upend fences, dismantle sheds and force their way through bricks and pipework. Likewise, a branch broken during a storm can cause extensive damage to your roof or guttering.
Homeowners and landlords are often reluctant to draw attention to a tree problem because they're fearful of the cost and upheaval that dealing with it could cause.
Whilst we can't put down a fixed price guarantee (every tree is different, after all), we CAN assure you that leaving the problem will prove more costly in the long run. And let's face it, dealing with the issue yourself is out of the question. We do price our services fairly, aiming to be as affordable as we can so that we may continue to be an asset to the local community. We urge you to get in touch if you have a problem with a tree on your premises.

What is ash dieback?Ash dieback is a tree disease caused by the fungus, Hymenoscyphus fraxineus. The fungus originated in Asia, where its impact is limited due to the host trees' evolutionarily developed resistance. However, since being introduced to Europe some 30 years ago, it has devastated our native European ash species, threatening it with almost total extinction - a financially costly loss and a huge blow for the biodiversity of our woodlands and natural habitats.
-
What does it do and how will I be able to spot it?The fungus spreads by airborne spores, which land on the leaves of trees and stick to them. The fungus develops within the tree, obstructing its water transport systems and ultimately bringing about its death.
-
The warning signs to look out for are:Dark patches on leaves Wilted and discoloured leaves even in summer Lesions at the base of the branches Brownish-grey bark developing under the lesions
-
What can be done?At the moment there is no chemical treatment for the disease. The only reliable solution is felling and removal. Ace Tree Surgeons are experienced in handling trees affected by the fungus and are able to competently and professionally carry out this service for you, minimising the spread of the disease and, hopefully, protecting your remaining trees from its clutches.
-
How can I help?Report your suspicions via the Tree Alert website. Clean shoes, boots and tyres before and after visiting woodland Refrain from taking plant material with you when you leave a wooded area. Fallen ash leaves can be burnt, buried or deep-composted to disrupt the lifecycle of the fungus.
-
What makes our service convenient? We respond quickly to your call, carrying out a full survey of your property and tree/s to establish what needs doing.
-
Who are we accredited by?We're accredited contractors with the Arboricultural Association - the world's leading authority on arboricultural best practice.
-
How do we price our jobs? Each job is quoted separately - and the price will depend on the work involved. We make every effort to keep costs down for our clients, and will never carry out unnecessary work.
-
Do we do call-outs?Yes we do - in cases of emergency we will do our utmost to attend your premises in as quick a time-frame as possible to get the issue under control.
"Had the guys out this week to level and tidy a high hedge and tame some seriously overgrown apple trees. Great service, good price and cuttings removed with no mess left. Will be using them again without question."
